We made a trip to all TULCA venues I'm the Galway city centre and we asked to develop a written and visual response.
For this week of L2L we displayed our finished pieces in the corridor.
I then developed mind maps in this session of L2L to help with my finished piece.
For this week I began researching information in the hallucinations seen in the documentary and put the info in my sketchbook
This week we watched a documentary called 'How Art made the World'. We were told to take down notes and then we were given a project based on the documentary.
For this week we had to write our artist statement for last week's article artwork, it had to be at least 300 words long.
This week we were told to bring in a newspaper and select an article which intrigued us. We then wrote down themes and uses that were related to that article and began to develop ideas for an artwork. The artwork had to be finished by half 12.

Artist Mindmap

Last week in Learning to Learn we were given another project. Starting with the name of an artist we went into the library and searched for a book on that particular artist. We then researched all about the artist and created a visual Mindmap based on the artist and presented it in class today. We were also given a newspaper article in class today and had to identify themes that were related to the tragic story.

Spatial Dynamics

Finished Mindmap

Last week I based my mind map on my personal statement which was, "Why am I here?". I drew images throughout the Mindmap that relate to the different headings in the Mindmap such as 'Knowledge' and 'Future'.

Mind Mapping

Today I learned about 'Mind Mapping' in Digital Media with Lynne 'O Loughlin.

Mind mapping is a way of linking key concepts using images, lines and links. A central concept is linked via lines to other concepts which in turn are linked with other associated ideas. It is similar as a technique to concept mapping and spider diagrams, the difference being that true mind mapping involves constructing a hierarchy of ideas instead of pure random association.
